Located in Port Perry this sign fits right in with the decor of the town. It wasn't the sign that caught my attention but rather the pole with the beaver on it.

Weekend Reflections - Washed Out

With only 9 hours of sunshine in the last week the rainy days continue. No serious flooding but higher than normal water levels exist. Petticoat Creek is small but has still managed to flood the forest. Linking to Weekend Reflections.

It's been raining here since the weekend. Today there was a rain break in the afternoon and I went out with my camera. This photo of the Pickering Nuclear Plant is one of sixty seven photos I managed to take.

Tern Nesting Reef Raft

Historically, the common tern population in Frenchman’s Bay thrived, but as recently as the 1970’s, it began decreasing due to the loss of suitable habitat. As a result, in 1999, two tern reef rafts were installed, aimed at providing nesting habitat. In this photo the raft is being cleaned and repaired in anticipation of the returning terns.

Scenic Sunday - Whitby Arts
