Monday Murals - Bradley Street Pedestrian Underpass
A dreary pedestrian underpass is now a work of art thanks to London's Community Art Project. Twenty students from Rick Hansen and White Oaks public schools in grades 7 and 8 collaborated with local mural artist, Andrew Gillet. This side is painted a cool blue with orcas.

Monday Murals - Oshawa's Famous "Generals"
Artist: Paul Ygartua, of Vancouver, British Columbia. The Oshawa Generals Major Junior Hockey franchise was established for the 1937-38 season and immediately became a hockey powerhouse by winning seven consecutive Ontario championships through to 1944. The team has won five additional Ontario titles since then and has been the Memorial Cup champion four times, in 1939, 1940, 1944, and 1990. Featured are well-known Oshawa Generals stars of the past, including Billy Taylor, Bobby Orr, Terry O'Reilly and Eric Lindros. I'm linking to Monday Mural.

Monday Murals - Under Construct
Artist: Tracy Root. She is painting a 16 metre wide mural commissioned by the London Arts Council and the city’s heritage committee. Unfortunately for me, I was there on Tracy's day off.

Work is taking place along the bike path, under the Thames River crossing of Oxford St., in London Ontario. Tracy designed the scene to include a valley, rolling hills, houses, farmers, and a river running through the middle. The valley is bordered by lush forest on either side and the whole scene is framed with a bright blue sky. She started the mural on September 28th and hopes to have it finished by October 27th.
