I was out and about when I discover the location of where Durham Region Transit (DRT) is storing their new buses for Pulse. This is DRT's bus rapid transit (BRT) brand. The service will begin on June 29, 2013 and it will replace most of Go Transit's bus service on Hwy 2 between Oshawa and the Scarborough U of T campus. It will be a soft launch which will have buses run in mixed traffic at 7.5 minute headways during peak periods. Dedicated bus lanes are to be added at a later date. Twenty-six new, dedicated conventional buses will be used.

Very nice photo! You got 'em all lined up. They look poised for service. I envy you all the public transportation...we've got a few buses, but only the deity knows when or where they run!
ReplyDeleteMakes for a cool shot Andy.
ReplyDeleteThey have such nice big front windows!
ReplyDeleteHow did they come up with the name 'Pulse' and does it signify anything?
Like the slight fish eye effect.
