It was two months ago today that I purchased my first wide angle lens. I left the camera store with my new toy mounted on my camera. Wasting no time I began testing it out right away. The above is my first photo and right off the bat I learned that if I point the camera up on a angle there is going to be distortion. In the last month I have rarely taken the lens off the camera.

yeah, I hate that distortion! good for you for continuing to practice non-stop :)
ReplyDeleteis that plane part of the burger shack?
Yes... the plane has been on that post for a number years. The new owner refurbished the burger shack and the plane. He gave the place new life.
DeleteSince purchasing my Tamron 10-24 it rarely comes off my dslr either! I love the distortion for the most part and find myself recomposing in the viewfinder over and over to get the most out of it. You are well on your way to being a "wide angle shooter"!
ReplyDeleteps I bought mine over a year ago, so you never get tired of it!
What brand and mm lens did you get Andy?
I have a Canon Rebel XS Camera. The wide angel lens is a Sigma 10mm to 20mm. So far, so good.
DeleteLooks like you are having a good time experimenting with it.
ReplyDeleteA wide angle certainly allows you to get a lot into each photo!
ReplyDeletethat made me crave a burger!! :)
