Monday Mural - Octopus Garden

Located in London, Ontario. The mural, titled Octopus Garden 2 was the last artistic piece created by Stephen Watson before he passed away from cancer. Born in New Brunswick, Canada he has lived in London for 25 years. His brother Paul Watson, is co-founder of Greenpeace. More than 27 metres high, and 60 metres wide, the mega-mural is the size of your average hockey rink. Stephen had laid out the ground work for the mural but was unable to complete it himself. It is meant to raise awareness in the need to take more interest in the need to preserve future of our oceans. The photo below gives the complete list of those artist took part in the completion of the mural. I'm linking to Monday Mural.

Lens Testing

I was at the camera store trying a new lens that I am interested in buying. This light hanging from the ceiling was my target for a test shot.

Tourist Spotting

Watching the tourist at the Trent-Severn Waterway at lock 34, Fenelon Falls, Ontario.

Lower the water and the boat follows.

The water flows out the low side of the lock.

The gates open and the tour boat will pass under the highway overhead.

It's all clear and heading off on the famous "three-hour tour".

Scaffolding is a temporary structure used to support people and material in the construction or repair of buildings and other large structures.

Monday Mural - Pan Am Games

The Pan Am Games will be the largest multi-sport event ever hosted in Canada when it kicks off in the summer of 2015. More than 10,000 athletes and officials from 41 countries will be taking take part. Toronto will be the host city but many of the events will be taking place in towns and cities in Greater Toronto Area. As usual I can't find any info the artist. I'm linking to Monday Mural.

Police Station

Built in 1904 the current police facility, once the Armouries, is now the centre
of police operations. As a heritage building the exterior is virtually unchanged.

On The Beach

With summer comming to an end, scenes like this are disappearing.
