Senseless Killings

Two recent events have really shocked me. The first is the murders of three R.C.M.P officers in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada. The seconded one is the two Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, policemen who were also murder.

I have a lot of respect for the men and women who place themselves in harms way every day to protect us. They are true peace keepers. The "Ontario Police Monument" expresses my views towards these fallen heroes.

A Life Cut Short

Because it's near a body of water I believe it represents a ship's propeller. The memorial is dedicated to all the children who have lost or will lose their lives to Batten disease.
Dedicated June 2004 May a cure be found.
Presented in loving memory of Dylan James Carr.
May 1992 to August 2002.

Rick McColl a CN Rail worker, at the age of 53, was struck and killed by a Via Rail passenger train.

Roadside Memorial

Roadside memorials usually mark a spot where someone has died in an automobile accident. I have no knowledge of who B Demelo may have been. Who ever put this maker here does and is letting others know that someone past on at this spot.
