Artist Andrew Silk painted the murals in 2008 located on opposite walls of a narrow lane way. The hockey players have rounded edges like the players in a old table hockey game.

The artist won a competition to create hockey related murals in honour of London’s hosting of the Junior World Cup in 2007 - 2008. I'm linking to Monday Mural.
These are very nicely executed and sure brighten up the alleyway!
ReplyDeleteThe colors are holding very well. Thanks for showing Andy.
ReplyDeleteA very nice one, well painted.
ReplyDeleteI like that he made the players look like the old game and it's refreshing to see that the graffiti "artists" are respecting the murals.
ReplyDeleteFascinating style, they look as though they are game pieces. Fun shots.
ReplyDeleteSoooo Canadian! :)
ReplyDeleteReally colorful murals! I love them!
ReplyDeleteI like how they look like pieces from a game. Great find!
ReplyDeleteThis may be the only type of hockey we see this year!!
ReplyDeleteGreat art!
ReplyDeleteI like the look, and the anonymity of the players.
ReplyDeleteMakes me wonder where my table hockey is now.....
These are great! I always love street art!
ReplyDeleteWonderful find. So colorful and I'm sure appealing to all those sports fans.
ReplyDeleteYour right about it being reminiscent of the old air hockey games.
