There used to be a time when a farm boy could lift and toss a bale of hay onto a wagon. These ones are so big and heavy that it takes a tractor with a front end loader to lift them.
Hi Andy, glad i can follow you blog. I hope you can make it to mine and follow along with my photo graphical journey. (www.valleysshutterbug.com) This is a lovely shot of the bales, and a great contrasting colour on the sky. Shaun
I love how the 'wrapper' has a beautiful green sheen to it. Great shot. Have you seen the ones wrapped in white? They look like marshmallows dropped from the sky.
I worked at a farm for two summers and lifted many a hay bale. They were heavy and full of dust. I remember aching and itching for the whole time.
ReplyDeleteI used to be able to lift them but I couldn't pitch them very far. :-) Nice shot Andy.
