This is what a corn field looks like after the entire crop has been harvest. It will be brought back to life next spring and the cycle will start again.
I've been looking at our empty fields- the crop dusters have already done their flyovers with whatever chemical they use after harvest..now the fields will wait for spring, unless they decide to do a winter wheat. I never know till I see something popping up.
The fields across the road from where I grew up looked like this most years by now, unless the farmer was spending a year letting a section lie fallow.
Tell me they pland a different crop there next year

ReplyDeleteAnd it will be covered with snow very soon, I would think.
ReplyDeleteNice photo. Like the down-low perspective and the cloud patterns in the sky.
