After a fire that destroyed the original wood barn that housed the farmer's market a temporary new barn has risen from the ashes. Business has returned at the St. Jacobs Farmer's Market. The construction of a new main building is already under way. One of the things that make this market unique is the number of vendors from the local Mennonite community.

Lots of light there in that market.
ReplyDeleteThat's quite a good solution for the situation. My cousin's worked that market for years- I think he's still there once a week. He has his own orchard and grows apples in the Cambridge area.

ReplyDeleteI can't believe I was meaning to go there during the summer and now it is the end of November and I still haven't been. I admit to shedding a few tears when the old place burnt down.
