I Scream For Ice Cream

Andy | Friday, September 30, 2011 | | Best Blogger Tips
Cows is a small Canadian business of ice cream shops. There are only ten locations including the factory and store in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. Also known for their humours t-shirts sold in the stores or online. I should also mention that ice cream is my weakness. I'd do anything (almost) for ice cream. :-$

Llamas In Sheep's Cothing

Andy | Friday, September 30, 2011 | Best Blogger Tips
Sheep herders are using llamas to fend off wolves and coyotes. The llama will scream, stamp, and kick with their feet. They are capable of stomping a coyote to death if the coyote refuses to retreat. Under attack sheep and lambs will gather into a tight circle. Llamas will stay on the outside of the circle and chase off the intruder.

Inspired by Stefan Jansson, I've been searching all year for a tree I could call my own. My original choice did not stay in my favour very long. Located in a former apple orchard, the area is now known as Diana, Princess Of Wales Park. I'm linking to Tammy's Behind The camera # 18

Andy | Friday, September 16, 2011 | Best Blogger Tips
I've seen this boat moored here many a time but never out and about on the water. Maybe one day I will and as the story goes...
Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale,
a tale of a fateful trip.
that started from this tropic port
aboard this tiny ship.

Monday Mural - Feversham

Andy | Monday, September 12, 2011 | Best Blogger Tips
Located in Feversham, Ontario. Before the mural got painted a delivery truck accidentally backed into the brick wall of Short's Store. Damage fault was not in dispute but when new bricks where needed it was discovered that a match could not found. In order to cover up that flaw a mural was painted. It shows a period in time when the local mill was operating in the town.

Ellen Bleiwas, Leah Burns, Katy Mulla, Summer 2004 2446 Kingston Road, Scarborough, ON. Just west of Midland Avenue. Designed by artists Leah Burns, Katy Mulla and Ellen Bleiwas, the mural was inspired by stories told to the artists by Scarborough Storytellers - Bluffers Tales. Working with themes of metamorphosis, transition and migration, members of Bluffers Tales told a series of stories to the mural artists. These stories were translated into a design that celebrates the experiences of community members who left their homes to come to Canada.
