I have no information on the artist. The mural is located in Peterborough, Ontario, on the north wall of the Big Brother Big Sisters Inc. building. I'm linking to Carolyn's Monday Mural.
In a small way, vinyl records are making a come back. I used to own some of these LP's when most of the artist were still alive.

This scene reminds me of my teenage days in Toronto's downtown on the Yonge Street strip. My two favorite record stores were Sam The Record Man and A&A's.
From the front at first glance you might think it's done with tiles. It's done entirely with paint. The Black Market is located in Halifax, Nova Scotia. I'm linking to Carolyn's Monday Mural.
Artist: John Hood. Located on the north west corner of Kingston Road at Midland Avenue, Toronto, Ontario. Built as an inn at the corner of Kingston Road and what is now Midland Avenue, Half Way House was a rural stage coach stop half way between the village of Dunbarton and the St. Lawrence Market in Toronto. The building served many purposes before being moved to Black Creek Pioneer Village in 1965. I'm linking to Monday Mural.

Weather
Yesterday we did get our first snow fall that had any significance to it. It did screw up the traffic. It did cause accidents, but it really was not a lot of snow. I went into my old bus driver senior citizen mode and decided not to venture outside. Of course this left me with no photos of the event. So this morning while it was still dark I captured this street scene from the window at the front of my house.
Taken on January 7, 2012. Only the harbours and bays freeze over with ice in the winter while the lake water remains open. Normally the shoreline is covered in ice but this winter has been a mild one.
