Looking Down On Lake Ontario

Taken on January 7, 2012. Only the harbours and bays freeze over with ice in the winter while the lake water remains open. Normally the shoreline is covered in ice but this winter has been a mild one.

  1. I'm amazed at how little ice there is this time of year!

    1. EG this has been the most consistence mild weather winter that I can recall. First outdoor rinks have become a thing of the past. Now this has to be the first year in Southern Ontario that ice fishing has turned in to a disaster.
