Niagara-On-The-Lake is a Canadian town located in Southern Ontario where the Niagara River meets Lake Ontario. The Royal George Theatre is one of the gems that you will find there. Acording to their web page The Royal George presents a modest exterior, but inside it’s all Edwardian gilt mouldings, red walls and golden lions! This 328-seat theatre was built as a vaudeville house to entertain the troops during World War I and now hosts the Shaw Festival’s repertory theatre productions.

  1. I love it, who wouldn't want to go inside and have a seat. Clever name as well.

  2. Been there many, many times. For 6 or 7 years running I'd go to The Shaw Festival for few days to take in as many plays as I could manage. Eventually it all became too expensive.

As touristy as it is NOTL is still a delightful city to visit.

  3. Sounds like the Fox Theater in St. Louis. Plain on the outside and all glitz's and glam on the inside.

Lovely shot and sounds like a fun place to go.
