  2. Yep, I'm a life-long book lover. But....I got a Kindle for Christmas last year, and as much as I resisted it, I've got to admit these devices are darn convenient.

  5. I've always thought that public libraries are the cornerstone of democracy. It's sad and disturbing that so many bookstores have closed in and around the Boston area.

  6. Paper is probably going to be a thing of the past, which isn't necessarily bad from an eco standpoint. I love the lack of dust and sometimes harsh chemical smells as well that switching to a Kindle has saved me from. But bookstores are wonderful, it isn't the same browsing through an electronic catalog.
