Senseless Killings

Two recent events have really shocked me. The first is the murders of three R.C.M.P officers in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada. The seconded one is the two Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, policemen who were also murder.

I have a lot of respect for the men and women who place themselves in harms way every day to protect us. They are true peace keepers. The "Ontario Police Monument" expresses my views towards these fallen heroes.

  1. I agree. My son is a police officer so these horrible events hit hard. Nice post.

  3. I didn't see the news that night, so the next morning, I picked up the newspapers, and the killings of those Mounties were front and center. It felt like a punch to the gut seeing the headlines.

  4. The US shootings are sad, but unfortunately are now happening daily or weekly. The Moncton shooting is tragic...I always thought that Canadian society was more civilized. I'm afraid that your neighbors to the south have become a bad influence on you folks. Tom The Backroads Traveller
