Bridges
Hidden away in the forest this old railway bridge footing is all that remains of a long forgotten dismantled bridge. Someone has left a Kurt Vonnegut quote from his novel (also made into a movie) "Slaughterhouse-Five".
Nice find, one of my hobbies looking for old railways
ReplyDeleteAh, lovers of literature are everywhere!
ReplyDeleteIt's fun to come across hidden things in the woods.
ReplyDeleteYou never know what you will find out in the woods.
ReplyDeleteInteresting place for this quote.
ReplyDeleteI've never seen the movie, but I would have liked to have seen the bridge.
ReplyDeleteWhen you find the remnants of history in the middle of nowhere, there is always a little mysterious feeling.
ReplyDeleteIt's still bothersome to see what rates as taggers in the woods.
ReplyDeleteLiterate tagging. An odd find, for sure.
ReplyDeleteI guess you just never know what you will find in the woods. I would prefer that they don't graffiti, but no one ever listens to me. :) Beautiful wooded area!
