I'm from an older generation and I think steam shovel was a much more romantic name than power shovel. This one is working on a new subdivision in Ajax, Ontario. Even though everyone here seems to agree that the governments of all levels have failed to build a proper transportation infrastructure, urban spal continues.
Great minds, that is the sort of angle I take photos of the shovles from. I can't ever remember seeing steam one in the UK pleanty of steam engines though but then they keep a load near me
