I moved to the end of the building and I was surprised when I found the artist drawing the stencil for his mural. Alex Currie also known as "Runt" or "Al Runt". He draws influences from comic books, and inspiration from the art works of Dr. Seuss.
I'm linking to Monday Mural.
Now that is just one riot of color
ReplyDeleteWow, that is a lot of colour. Very special you met the artist as well, funny to see him at work just sitting on the ground.
ReplyDeleteThats colourful for sure. Nice that you have the artist also and he seams highly concentrated. Nice portrait again Andy.
ReplyDeleteWonderfully bright and a real coup to see the artist in action Andy!
ReplyDeletewow, colorful is a good word here, nice of you to also include the artist.
ReplyDeleteYou win most colourful Andy.. I've always found Dr Seuss inspirational :)
ReplyDeleteDouble Wow! Sensory overload?
ReplyDeletevery colorful and how fun to find the artist at work!
ReplyDeleteit is really cool - and very neat to see the artist at work!
ReplyDeleteThis is great! Love all the bright colors and cartoon characters.
ReplyDeleteThat is quite an ambitious undertaking. I like murals but the best part for me is the picture of the artist at work. Quite a talented fellow.
ReplyDeleteGreat capture, I have to look through my photos to see if I took any of this building!
ReplyDeleteWhat luck to meet the artist, Andy! Obviously in warmer weather times!
ReplyDeleteWow- how cool is that to actually find the artist at the end of the mural!!!
ReplyDeleteI definitely see the influence of comic books especially from the era of Mr. Natural and other creations of Art Crumb. Don't see a burrito reference in there at all, but I'm sure the burrito joint is cool with that. The riot of color defines the corner. Love the capture of the artist. Looks like he's deciding what to do next. As always, thanks for contributing to this week's Monday Mural.
ReplyDeleteAndy is great, has a great job.
ReplyDeleteGood Tuesdays.
a hug.
The mural is fantastic, not to mention the colours and I love the fact you have found the concentrated artist at work.
ReplyDeleteBefore I even scrolled down to see what you'd written, I knew this had to be Kensington!
ReplyDeleteAnd how neat that you saw - and talked to - the artist!
