On rural roads at this time of year when the corn crop is being harvest, it is not unusual to see small spills like this.

  3. I remember once driving through eastern Oregon, my hubby and I kept seeing onions lying on the side of the road. We couldn't figure out why, until we passed a big truck full to brim with onions. We saw quite a few roll off the top......mystery solved!

  4. I can't recall seeing that myself, and I grew up in the country.

  7. A peculiar sight. Is it dangerous for cars?

    1. No danger at all. It is only about two handfuls. If the birds don't eat it the raccoons will get it at nighttime.

  8. I haven't seen that either. Maybe our farmers are better drivers out in Halton/Wentworth?!
But it makes a neat sight that I'd like to see.

    1. To see a spill like this you have to be there when the harvest is going on. Otherwise the birds will eat it pretty quick.
